Chuck's Carvings The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

From: Chuck Straub (woodschuckstraub@yahoo.com) | Date: 2003-07-04 18:35:48 UTC-04:00
I personally like to view other peoples carvings. I enjoy seeing what's out
there, especially places I will probably never go to. There have been some
posts from new stamp carvers that are concerned with the quality of their
work. I have decided to show all the carvings that I have ever put in my
boxes. All but 1 are still in use. Some are good, some are bad. They are
listed in the order that the boxes were planted. This is pretty close to the
order that they were carved. The images appear on 2 pages of my web site.
They can be found on my letterboxing page under Chucks Carvings Page 1 and
Chucks Carvings Page 2. I call them Chuck's Carvings The Good, The Bad, The
Ugly.

Chuck,
I think your stamps and clues are great. I also would love the
chance to look at the stamp images at their finest (AFTER finding the
box). For the life of me I could not get a clear image of the
Knowlton letterbox stamp! Too large..no flat rock at hand.

I love the clues for your safari series - the photos are super! They
have been on my list for whenever we get to Mansfield.

But I don't think any of your stamps qualify as ugly! Maybe I should
post our first personal stamp - hacked out of an old pink eraser with
a steak knife one night so we could go on our first letterboxing trip
the next day. (Patience has never been one of my strong suits).
